With this four-season duvet, your child will sleep wonderfully under the wool all year round. If he or she is still cold, you can zip both parts together for a lovely warm winter duvet. In this way, you create the sleeping environment that your child needs.

Material
The Texelana Standaard duvet is filled with 100% sheep's wool. Wool has a moisture-regulating and breathable effect. The summer duvet is filled with approx. 225 g/m² sheep's wool and the spring/autumn duvet with approx. 450 g/m² sheep's wool. These can be used separately or connected to each other with a smooth zipper. The natural materials ensure that you enjoy pleasant sleeping comfort.
Warmth class
To choose the right duvet that suits your needs, look at the warmth class. The lower the number, the warmer the duvet. The Texelana Standaard duvet falls into class 2 (3+4) .
- Class 4 is the thinnest, least warm and most suitable as a summer duvet.
- Class 3 is medium warm and best suited for the spring and autumn months.
- Class 2 is warm and is most commonly used in winter.
- Class 1 is the warmest class, this is where the thickest and warmest duvets fall. Texelana does not have duvets in warmth class 1 in its range.
Maintenance
A duvet filled with wool does not require much maintenance. The lanolin (wool fat) in the wool ensures that dirt and bacteria do not stand a chance. To keep your duvet in good condition, it is wise to air it every now and then. Open the duvet in the morning so that the wool can breathe and moisture can be released into the environment.
You can also hang the duvet outside occasionally. This way the wool retains its frizzy character and resilience. Never let the duvet air in the full sun, because the wool grease will dry out faster.
Any stains can be removed with a cloth and lukewarm soapy water. Wool duvets cannot be washed. If you really want to have the duvet cleaned, you can do this at the dry cleaners. However, if you follow the above maintenance tips, this is not necessary.
Origin
Since Texelana has no production capacity on Texel, all our duvets and underblankets are made elsewhere in the Netherlands.
