High-quality compression stocking with merino wool
A high-tech sock that works according to the compression technique. This promotes blood circulation in the legs, which in turn counteracts swollen legs, fatigue and the risk of cramps. The left/right system ensures the correct anatomical fit. Because wool is a fragile fibre, Ivanhoe of Sweden has strengthened it by mixing the wool with polyamide. The Lycra® gives a nice and comfortable stretch. Very pleasant to use in various sports.
- material : 90% merino wool, 5 % polyamide, 5 % Lycra®
- available sizes : 37-38, 39-40, 41-42, 43-45
- compression class : class 1 compression. 15-21mmHg
- washability : max. 40°C
For washing instructions, always check the label inside the garment
- unisex model
The merino wool used is 100% mulesing-free.
How compression stockings work
Compression stockings offer relatively high compression at the ankle level with a decreasing gradient towards the knee. Due to the increased pressure, the excess moisture, containing the waste products of the combustion process dissolved in it, is forced back into the circulation. This can ensure that pain, cramps, cold feet, varicose veins and swelling are reduced.
What does this mean for runners, for example? Wearing compression stockings or compression tubes does not immediately make you faster. But because you recover better, you get better endurance (higher lactic acid threshold) and performance does improve. You experience less muscle pain and less strain. In short: you walk more comfortably!
Washing instructions
Wool is antibacterial and odor resistant. Woolen clothing therefore does not need to be washed often. Occasionally hang the garment outside to air it out to freshen it up. If you still want to wash the garment, we recommend the Texelana Wool Detergent .
Look for washing instructions on the label in the garment. Many of our woolen clothes can be washed in the washing machine on a wool wash program of up to 30°C. Then lay flat to dry. When hand washing, never rub hard to avoid felting.
If you treat your wool garment as described above, it will not only stay nicer and last longer; you also save the environment by airing instead of washing.
About Ivanhoe
The family business Ivanhoe was founded in 1946 in Gällstad, a district known as Sweden's knitting center and where tradition and entrepreneurial spirit still live on. Several generations of experience and craftsmanship result in the continuous development of basic and functional clothing. The classic materials such as wool and cotton can always be found in the collections, but they also work with new blends, treatments or knitting and weaving techniques.
